Vimanika

Vimāna are mythological flying palaces or chariots described in Hindu texts and Sanskrit epics. The Sanskrit word vi-māna literally means "measuring out, traversing" or "having been measured out".
Monier-Williams defines Vimana as "a car or a chariot of the gods, any self-moving aerial car sometimes serving as a seat or throne, sometimes self-moving and carrying its occupant through the air.
No physical evidence of the existence of such objects has been identified, but their description is widespread, and their use in the Mahabharata and Ramayana wars is even described. According to the descriptions of these epic poems, vimanas are capable of both flying through air and space, and diving underwater.
